The Effects of Psychodrama on the Self-System of People with Repetitive Interpersonal Trauma : Focused on female spouses of alcoholics

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to look into the effects of psychodrama on the self-system of people who experienced repetitive interpersonal trauma. To achieve that, this researcher collected people with repetitive interpersonal trauma from female spouses of alcoholics who participated in the meetings of the family members of alcoholics (AL-Anon) and chosen 19 study subjects who met the selection criteria in trauma checklist. The psychodrama program consisting of eight sessions had been performed two days. Traumatized Self- System Scale (TSSS) was applied to the program participants for examination before and after the program. Wilcoxon signed-rank test was conducted to investigate the change in points of each group before and after the program, and Mann-Whitney U test was performed to look into the points of the groups after the program. First, after the psychodrama program the traumatized self-system was significantly different between pre-program and post-program in group. Secondly, the traumatized self-system was significant different between the experimental group and the control group after the psychodrama program. Lastly, the meanings and limitations of this study, and the suggestions for the future study were discussed.
